As a lifestyle, minimalism is simply the practice of using and consuming as little resources, spaces, time, and energy as possible. It is the awareness and intention to find sustainable solutions for our daily life. We can also describe it as a mindset shift it's just like when you decide to have a healthy lifestyle doesn't require changing your mindset about food and exercise?

Strangely, minimalism has a strong effect on us, it naturally develops new ideas and habits that touches all areas of your life. So, while you may start off by decorating your bedroom in a minimalistic way, you will end up throwing away all your old clothes and unnecessary items. Your mind begins filtering everything around you and only allowing you to keep what you need. In two words, minimalism is the freedom from possession and over-consumption

 History of minimalism

During the 1950s, some artists began to turn away from the gestural art of the latest generations and started appreciating minimalist arts and designs, which became more popular during the 60s. The idea was to remove all and focus only on one piece.

After the 70s and till the present, minimalism went far beyond art and design contexts, it reached all aspects of our lives and became a lifestyle, that many of us have it without even know it.  In American, two friends Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus traveled all around the states to introduce this new lifestyle they had a theme called:' little things, much happiness, ' and they succeeded in convincing people about this minimalist philosophy and helped thousands apply it in their daily life and practices. The concept of a minimalist lifestyle is mainly based on the idea of living a life by avoiding constant consumption. This idea started to get more attention in the modern world, where people are obliged to live in smaller houses and consume everything constantly.
